The responsibility of the church leadership then is to train, equip, and oversee the ministries of the people. The people are responsible for the ministries of the church. There is no end to the variety and extent of ministries, which can be of benefit to the church’s work.
We desire to do the ministry of Christ with joy and that every person who attends DCP be involved in a specific ministry expression. There are many opportunities requiring varying levels of skill and time commitment. Please read below to find out more about these opportunities.
We believe that worship should have a destination. That destination is the presence of God. We aim for worship which is directed to God, rather than about God. We desire to worship God with our Whole Being. We want Jesus Christ at the center as our Lord. We hunger for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, His glory resting upon us! We desire Spirit-enabled worship in a style that is intimate, refreshing, dynamic, culture current and life-changing!
Worship is God’s highest priority, therefore it is our highest priority as well. We use music which is contemporary and invites God to move among us. We express our love to God in a way which encourages freedom of worship style.
Youth are precious to the Lord. We see in them the capacity for true faith, the faith of a child. The basic trust they carry with them is a reminder and blessing to adults. It is important for us to teach our youth the ways of God, and to instill in them from an early age a love and devotion for the Lord. DCP encourages this development of teen hearts towards the Lord, through youth ministry. This is a great place for youth, both to be equipped for today’s spiritual challenges and also to take part in exciting activities.
“To nurture, train and release youth to love Jesus Christ, becoming the next generation to serve Him and His church.”
Children are precious to the Lord, the basic trust they carry with them is a reminder and a blessing to adults. It is important for us to teach our children the ways of God, and to instill in them from an early age a love and devotion for the Lord.
DCP offers the following children’s ministries during our Sunday Service:
We have monthly corporate prayer meetings that also include a time of worship and ministry. Our goal in these meetings is to have fresh, relevant, and liberated prayer, praying back to God what He has given us through revelation, and increasing our faith and boldness as a people. Corporate prayer is a journey of being built into a house of prayer. We as a people are the building blocks of that house and together we release God's heart, power, and purpose on the earth as it is in Heaven!
Learning to understand and apply dreams can indeed puzzle even the smartest of people. There are a few basic skills you need to get meaning from your dreams. Sometimes, the most “ridiculous” dreams can startle you with their significance, if you know how to put the pieces together.
Come spend a little time with a “Dream Team.” They are a group of warm-hearted individuals who enjoy helping people find the missing pieces to understanding their dreams. They’ve been trained, have interpreted thousands of dreams, bringing clarity and insight to many dreamers, and they’ll give your dreams the respect they deserve.
There are two components of prophetic art: revelation and art. Revelation has to do with what God speaks. Art has to do with man’s creative nature. The first thing we know about God is that He is creative (Genesis 1:1). We also know that he communicates through what He’s created (Psalm 19) and that we’re created in His image. It’s natural for us to express ourselves and what God reveals to us through prophetic art.
How does it work?
Every Sunday, one or more individuals that have had training seek what God would say to them during our time of worship. They then draw a picture based on how the Holy Spirit leads them. Once the image is complete and worship is winding down, the artists explain what the image is and then what they hear God saying through the image.
We also have many other ministry opportunities, smaller teams that still have an integral part to play in how we function together as the body. Some of these teams are:
